The Pill Now Faced With Problems

Today, our world has drastically changed from that of our parents. Technology has rapidly changed in many ways. Communication has evolved from having to wait days on a letter or having to translate dots on a paper to having a cellphone that doubles as a computer and music player. Our computers can now sit in our laps or in the palm of our hands instead of having to take up rooms upon rooms like they had to in the past. Either way you look at it individuals are now faced with a world full of possibilities and great ones at that.

One thing that has been greatly impacted by technology today is that of the medical world. We now have products and devices that can help treat cancer, and even medical processes that can help heal us faster and more efficiently. Birth control certainly has changed from that of the past. In early civilizations birth control was practiced with rocks, or other crude instruments. Today, we now do not have to worry about the pain and burden of such methods and can rely on taking a small little pill once a day.

However, one problem has recently arisen with birth control and that of it not actually working as needed. The company Pfizer Inc. has recently recalled some birth control pills due to the fact that over a million packages of the small little pill are now capable of leading to that of unintentional pregnancies. The company has stated that in some amounts of the product have been improperly dosed and are not up to the necessary amount that birth control usually is set at. Individuals do not need to worry about any harmful affects occurring if they have taken the pill, but the company has recalled the pill in order to give the actual results wanted by the user.

Some packages were packaged improperly, while others simply were missing pills out of them. Overall, mistakes happen, but when it comes down to you and your birth control all it needs is one mistake to happen in order for your life to be changed in just one day. Make sure that if you are taking a birth control that has been produced by the Pfizer company that it is returned for a more recently distributed product.
