Health Care, or Clinical Trial?

Today, medical malpractice is currently at an all time high within the United States. As we all know mistakes, and accidents happen, but there is hardly any room for them within the medical field. When individuals seek out health care they expect treatment that will help them become well, and healthy. However, with today’s standard more individuals are more likely to walk out of a hospital with more health issues than they came in with. However, medical malpractice is serious and affects your life now and later. Yet, how is medical malpractice affecting individuals today?

Understanding The Facts

Clinical trials are a common portion of medicine. Most of the time a doctor, or health professional will perform a clinic trial on an individual after they have signed numerous amounts of waivers, and documents that are suppose to relate the risks that are associated with these tests and studies and the possible outcomes that are correlated with it. However, a report recently shows what some doctors think they are able to do without the legal consent of the individual.

Where’s The Professionalism?

A women wanted to have some plastic surgery treatments done in order to lose some body fat, and also give the appearance that she was younger. Her surgery called for liposuction in the areas of her hips, stomach, arms, and tights. However, the doctor that performed her surgery forgot to mention one thing. He was planning on using a surgical device, used for skin tightening that is not approved by the FDA in the United States at the moment. Whether or not the surgeon was paid to do these “clinical trials” or not is unknown at the moment. However, it is known that not only did the FDA not approve the use of the device with this case, but the surgeon also ignored, and did not follow the general guidelines of using the device.

Today, the woman has to deal with excruciating pain each and everyday, and has to deal with scars from her surgery.
